Prof. Vittorfranco Pisano

Born in Rome on 27 April 1943, he graduated magna cum laude in Political Science from Fordham University (New York) in 1964. In 1970 he obtained a Doctorate in Law from the University of Rome "La Sapienza", and in 1975 a degree in Comparative Law from Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.).
From 1976 to 1982 he was a consultant to the European Law Division of the U.S. Congress. From 1982 to 1985 he was a consultant to the U.S. Senate (Committee on the Judiciary — Subcommittee on Security and Terrorism). He was Adviser for International Affairs to the Commander-in-Chief of Allied Forces Southern Europe (Naples, 1991–1992), a lecturer at the Defense Intelligence College (Washington, D.C.), and Head of the U.S. Delegation and Adviser for Studies at the NATO Defense College (Rome, 1992–1996).
From 1997 to 2007 he was a reviewer for the U.S. Department of State's Anti-Terrorism courses. From 2010 to 2016 he lectured in the Master of Laws in International Crime and Justice at UNICRI (Turin). Since 2017 he has been President of the Counter-Terrorism Commission of the Italian Atlantic Committee (CAI) and Secretary General of the National Register of Intelligence Analysts.
